As you drive from San Diego to LA you will pass the community of Temecula. Stop in and visit and see the Temecula Museum which will give you an opportunity to learn about the development of the area over the years. The museum has artifacts that are handcrafted by those from days gone by that will certainly be of interest as well as ranching and farming equipment used by the pioneers and documents and pictures for you to browse through.
For the kids there is an little community dedicated to them with hands on exhibits for them to learn about life in the past. There is a General Store, dress shop, photographer studio and even a ride the pony station. This will keep them happy while you explore the area with them.
The Museum also has special events for the whole family from performing events, gallery talks, demonstrations, lectures and other media targeted to the subject areas in the exhibits. There are also special days for the kids where they can learn with interactive activities that will be fun for the whole family.
