When you decide to study the state of Ohio for your Ohio tourism excursion you may want to take a look at something that is not ordinarily on the tourist maps. This is the Glacial Grooves on the north end of Kelley’s Island.
During the ice age and the movement of the glacial ice across the land the grooves were formed in the solid limestone. There is a groove that is 400 feet long, 35 feet wide and 10 feet deep that was caused by the ice movement.
