A well-qualified service manager should have these certifications. Many service managers already have ASE Service Consultant certification prior to beginning their automotive service manger training. Having such a certification shows a solid understanding of how to perform automobile repair and maintenance.

Before applying for a position as a service manager many people already have professional certifications from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). One of the most common is the ASE Service Consultant certification, which denotes a certain level of knowledge in the field of automotive service.

The right automotive service manager training has many different components. It takes service manager jobs, experience, and the desirable certifications to make a good service manager. However, a person with skill and an interest in automotive technology can achieve the position.
