I’ve recently purchased a 1968 Ford Mustang and I’ve been scouring the World wide web looking for a good muscle vehicle insurance policy to cover my baby.
The research I’ve done indicates there are lots of companies offering something called specialty insurance, which means you as a vehicle owner gets to set the value of your classic automobile. This means that unlike your Accord when it gets involved in an accident you’ll actually be able to make sure your muscle vehicle has adequate coverage to get the fixes it requires to get it back into the ideal shape.
Normal insurance only covers a automobile up to it’s “blue book” value. Your classic sports car might have a value much higher than this insurance industry standard by getting your car covered with said value insurance you can rest assured that in the event of an accident or severe damage your investment is protected.
My automobile is a perfect example of this. It’s old yet very rare; only a dozen examples of it exist in drivable condition. While an insurance adjuster might look up it’s price as several thousand dollars I know the vehicle is worth at least ten times that. My specialty automobile insurance is definitely worth the cost.
Sites like Decode This Insurance Reviews covers all the major classic vehicle insurance companies out there. They’ll give you a good overview of the offerings in terms of coverage and policies. It’s a good place to begin any collector vehicle insurance research.
I had a friend recently who was involved in a huge crash with his 911. He ended up paying through the nose for the right kind of fixes. He’s since gotten on the bandwagon with me about the importance of specialty automobile insurance. It’s funny, he talks enjoy it was always his idea!
Enjoy the spring! Old cars are ideal enjoyed worry-free! And with the right kind of insurance coverage you’re set for an uneventful driving season.
