At some point or another I believe it is reasonable to believe that every person has seen the nightmare of vibrating wiper blades at some time or another, but what many people aren’t attentive of is how this problem can easily be dominated. The first and most common step in the process of preventing this heinous activity is that each driver must take full responsibility for ensuring the wind screen is kept in a clean state. Any grease or dirt at all is not only bad for the wiper blades but also responsible for producing that annoying vibrating sound when you’re driving. Always remember to lift up the wiper blades and totally clean underneath the wipers blades to ensure a fully clean wind screen. Any dirt left here will have the bad habit of being distributed across the majority wind screen the next time the wiper blades is utilised when it rains, any minor smears may be enough to trigger a bout of that horrilbe squeak so just guarantee you do a great job. A further issue caused by this apparently minor issue is that the wiper blades rubber will actually become more hurt as a result if any dirt are left behind, each time the wiper blade is actuated the abrasive bits will wear away the soft rubber and cause terrible damage to the fitting.
Further more the friction caused by the contact between the dirt and the glass will no doubt cause the windscreen wipers to skip drunkenly across the wind screen and make that terrible juddering sound at fast speeds. The problem is that the production of windscreen wipers from rubber is doomed to failure from the very start; you see rubber by its very nature is a soft pliable material and it is this characteristic which provides it with its greatest strength and greatest weakness. Rubber has a terrible tendency to react not well with moisture, ozone, pollution and ultra violet, therefore when exposed to each day places the rubber becomes more and more degraded, rough and inflexible. This all spells trouble as it is the openings caused by wear which cause a windscreen wipers to shake wildly when in use making that terrible squeaking noise. As time goes on this process is aggravated by the fact that the windscreen wipers arm is becoming more and more under pressure as the wipers no longer scrapes the wind screen well.
This has the unfortunate side effect of ripping the replacement wiper blades off from its arm and housing just exascerbating the problem even further. The only real way to prevent this nightmare from ever coming to fruition is by succeeding to the demands of the silicone replacement wiper blades manufactures and buying a replacement wiper blades set made from silicone. Another thing you could do is by initiating a solid washing routine of your wind screen and replacement wiper blades to ensure no dirt become trapped between the replacement wiper blades and the glass. The present crop of silicone replacement wiper blades will circumvent almost all of these things simply by virtue of being great at their job; they have a number of properties which make them an best replacement for the current assembly of silicone replacement wiper blades.

Its a fact that most people leave items such as tires, fluids, wiper-blades, brake pads and bulb changes to the last minute, which is a seriously dangerous but quite common issue. Basically, until we see things not performing or something fails entirely, most of us hardly give these items any thought at all.
However, lately there has been a bit of a change in the composition of certain windshield wiper blades, all supported by a variety of different tests in just about every type of driving condition.
While the various new wiper blades coming to market are getting a little more technically intelligent I still have a problem with the thought of paying quite so much for this new technology at all.
Even up until this day, suppliers seem to expect drivers to simply accept that once wiperblades show any signs of wear by smearing, juddering or squeaking, we should simply toss them out and buy a new set.
Have you noticed that no wiper blade suppliers provide instructions on how to make them last longer? How to prevent adhesion to frosty windscreens? How to soften them if they get brittle? Are there any parts that can be recycled?
Are the suppliers trying to make them last or help the ecology? Of course not. They want you to spend and spend often.
It’s time manufacturers started to lift their game and try to help we buyers get more from our purchases.
Recently I came across a small tool that can entirely RESTORE the working surface of most wiper blades by producing a fresh clean edge when needed. Great emergency item to have in the car for sure.
You can check it out at http://www.wiperbladerestorer.com
It’s an efficient little tool that works wet or dry, doesn’t rust, has no moving parts and can repair blades in less than 60 seconds.
Best of all, you could easily get around 6 times the normal life expectancy from your wiper blades before buying a new set, which to me means wiper blades effectively only cost about $2.00 per year.
Now THIS is called being Green and helping our planet. By all means buy and fit the new silicon wipers…BUT then make sure you can get 5 or 6 uses from them before dumping the remnants. This will REALLY do some good to the environment, your wallet and your vision.
